About
Working in the field of Architecture both academically and professionally, is to me more of a pleasure than a monotonous day job. The ability to be creative, exercise my technical skills and to problem solve in order to complete a project appeals to my wish for job satisfaction. This website provides a portfolio of selected projects that showcase my abilities and enthusiasm for architecture. Education and Experience 2018 – Callingham Architects 2016 - 2018 M.Arch Masters of Architecture RIBA part 2 qualified – University of Lincoln 2015 - 2016 Jelson Homes Ltd 2012 – 2015 B.Arch Bachelors of Architecture RIBA part 1 qualified – University of Lincoln
After graduating with an upper second class degree with Honours from the University of Lincoln, I spent 15 months placement at Jelson Homes which provided me with valuable experience in residential design. I was involved in creative design and technical resolution in active and future projects. I gained and honed skills that can only be done so within the industry, these include working independently as well as within the team, directly with contractors on site and the creation and delivery of information to relevant parties. During my first year in M.Arch, I entered and won a live competition to design a holiday letting cottage in Skegness. The design was to use the Lincolnshire vernacular building methodology of Mud and Stud. Following the completion of my M.Arch I became a Part 2 Architectural Assistant at Callingham Architects where I was involved in many different projects from commercial to residential. I will continue with my pursuit of becoming an Architect by attaining my RIBA part 3 qualifications I wish to work in a practice where I can continue to provide creative solutions, employ my technical abilities and to become a member of the team.
